Tales of the Told.

Monday, December 31, 2007

well, its 2+ more hours till the new year. as usual, im gonna make this special blog post on the last day of the year a summary. here we go....

Start of the year: YJC; i wasn't thinking about whether i'd stay in jc or go for poly during the pae period...afterall pae was a trial experience. i met many people...and learnt many things. but still, the solidity of the future or what was to come didn't really come to me yet.

Celebrating values day; another festival where laughter abound, before the pressure and exams were to set in.
the lab; a place where i got to know my classmates better.
a toast to the future!the class...fun and excitement was still in our hearts.
eventually, reality set in and i had to make a choice with the release of the 'O' results; many were exhilarated, and others were sorely disappointed. i was one of the disappointed ones; i didn't make it into sajc afterall. but still, a choice had to be made. after checking out the various open houses, i decided to stay in yjc.

people had decisions to make, and soon, some of us went our separate ways...regrettable but just another part of life.

i began to realise how tough JC life really was, and that i couldn't afford to play around anymore. the word WORK became the most mentioned term in my life.

a visit back to the school; memories of how it used to be, and thoughts what it could have been if i'd worked harder to get into sajc, just across the bridge...a small break during the stressful jc journey, the OBS experience.

but soon, that too had to end.
best wishes to ai shan and jurene, who will be heading for the polytechnic for 08'. you two will be sorely missed...
as with the setting of the sun, when things come to an end, new beginnings start to surface, just like the rising of the sun the next day. and we can only grow and ponder, looking at the same sun everyday, and hope to achieve more in our lives.

Goodbye, 2007, and welcome, 2008. May we work together! :) HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE ^^

a typical sunset shot...
taiwan has so many motorbikes they have a dedicated lane for them on some highways @_@ i think the number of motorbikes in taiwan amount to a few million...

Finally an update! this update concerns my recent trip back from taiwan :0 i must say, its a really nice place! mountain, sea, and girls, what else could anyone want? lol :p taiwanese youths are seriously sorta like japanese and korean ones. their dress sense, i mean. realllly cool. even near the onset of winter you see people in mini skirts. most of the students there were in long sleeves and pants but i saw a particular sch where the style was really really like the japanese ; short skirt and long socks.(pardon me if i dont talk about the guys cause im not particularly into them, but if you must, their hair is really long. i suppose schools there don't have regulations concerning hair length :p )

the service in taiwan is quite good, too. one nice lady even helped me to carry my bag around while i was trying some clothes. oh, and the salesgirls all put make up, too. which makes em look really fad. :0 我爱台妹!

As for the weather, i suppose its quite cooling! taiwan actually has 4 seasons, i never knew that :0 apparantly snow falls around the new year, so i only got to experience a chilly weather :0 the pace of life there is quite acceptable, too. i think its slower than singapore's. nice place to retire to? heh. well anyways, as usual check out the pics. i took around 500 pics but i cant upload them all now can i :p and the music video below too~
